This dress was absolutely stunning when it arrived. It fits to size and is well made, it would be great as a statement outfit or as a costume as it is a flapper dress. But the colors are just outstanding
Ignore the fact that this is on a child, lol. It's for my 18yr old, but she wouldn't let me take her picture. This is modeled on my 10 (almost 11) year old. She's 5' and 110lbs. My 18yr old is 5'4" and 190lbs, and this still fits! There is a lot of stretch! Very sparkly, very fancy, and it'll be a very good Great Gatsby Halloween costume for my teen!
Knowing this Belle Poque Women's Sequin Dress would have a tight fit, I purchased an XL instead of my usual large from Amazon clothing products. That was a good choice as it turns out. I do recommend sizing up for comfort, especially if you have any mature woman rolls. Young ladies with tight bodies might be happy in with one size up from their usual US size which is typical since these are sized for Europe.
For reference, I wear a size 10/12 usually, or size Medium US size, weigh 175-lbs give or take a few, have a 36C chest and size 32-34" waist.
Design:
The cut is quite flattering, even on my curvy figure. I am pretty sure I need to have shapewear under it to smooth out those mom-rolls, but I was impressed with the design. The length is perfect for someone who is self conscious about thighs or knees and shows off your calves. The fringe is a bit saucy, as is the off-the-shoulder design. The zipper was difficult for the wearer and I had to have help zipping it up or undoing the zipper.
Quality:
The material is good quality as is the craftsmanship. The sequins seem to be well attached and the zipper smoothly sewn in. I have not found any defects so far.
Comfort:
Very good. The feel of the liner is smooth and soft and the whole dress fit well. I can wear this for hours at a time. It didn't feel overly hot in the dress even with southern summer heat when I was outside.
I am quite happy with the dress and look forward to years of wearing it. If I were to trim up a bit, I would buy a smaller size because I want to keep wearing it. A perfect option for going to a club or on a fancy date, or even a costume party as a flapper.
