My skirt from Belle Poque brand arrived folded into a very small package, so was very creased when opened. I hung it up on a hanger and very quickly steam ironed it vertically and I’m happy to say the creases disappeared instantly. The skirt is made from a slightly shiny textured polyester mix fabric that’s gathered from the waistband to give a nice swirly flow when walking. The waistband is elasticated at the back with two pockets at the front with elasticated edge design. The skirt does have a neat side zip on the left. I found the 2XL size just a tad tight on the waist but not tight anywhere else, I wear a UK 20 normally. The length is a shortish midi just above my calf, I’m 5’ 6” tall. I like the retro design, it’s flattering on and although an unlined light fabric would look good at work or going out with heels. It reminds me of the skirts I used to wear in the early 80’s.
This is a lovely lightweight summer skirt in an unusual and attractive shade of green. It hangs well, has a nice flare to it as you move (it's semi-circular) and fits comfortably true to size. I liked the pockets in the front of the skirt which are suitable for things like a handkerchief or a hair band (nothing heavy, though). Although the skirt arrived packed in plastic and quite creased, it was relatively easy to iron. I'm just over 5 ft 10 and the skirt came to a little below my knees - on a shorter woman it would be mid-calf or longer.
